Cecil Baldwin the voice of Night Vale Radio, the community radio station of Night Vale, a small town somewhere in the southwest US desert. Night Vale is very like most small towns: it has a library, a municipal airport, and a dog park. It also has a glowing cloud that drops dead animals, a waterfront where there is no water, and clocks with nothing inside but some grey matter.
Most of all, Night Vale has Cecil, whose soothing voice talks the denizens of Night Vale to sleep, warns them of discussing forbidden subjects (often by talking about them too much himself) and reminds them not to go into the dog park.
